NASS Announces 2012 Crop Progress Reports Will Begin April 2

The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) announces that the 2012 weekly crop progress and condition estimates will begin Monday, April 2.  The reports, which continue through the core U.S. growing season each year, estimate the progress and condition of a variety of crops through various stages of development.  Crop Progress reports are available at the state level and are of interest to those involved in all aspects of agriculture, produce and commodities markets, and other food- and farm-related topics.  NASS publishes the results of this survey weekly on Mondays at 4:00pm (ET) from April through November.  All NASS reports are available online at www.nass.usda.gov.
